How the Fast Track Kitset Process Works

Fast Track Kitset homes are designed to remove complexity, reduce build time, and give cost certainty. Here’s how the process works from site to handover.

Step 1: Confirm Your Site

Identify where you plan to build and confirm the Lot and DP number. Your local council can provide this if needed.

Step 2: Choose Your Fast Track Home

Select the Fast Track model that suits your needs and confirm any layout options or design variations.

Step 3: Choose Your Build Path

Decide how the home will be assembled:

  • Owner-builder (subject to council rules)
  • Local builder
  • Fast Track approved assembler (shell only or full build)

Step 4: Council & Ground Checks

Have an early discussion with council to confirm compliance with:

  • Setbacks and boundaries
  • Height and recession plane rules
  • Outdoor living requirements

Council will advise if a geotechnical report or resource consent is required.

Step 5: Site Works & Services

Arrange pricing and timing for:

  • Foundations and drainage

Water, power, and other services

Step 6: Budget & Timing

Confirm your project budget and funding, and receive an indicative manufacturing and delivery timeframe from us.

Step 7: Contract & Deposit

Sign the Fast Track Kitset supply contract and pay a 15% deposit. We issue full plans and specifications for council and finalise any site-specific engineering if required.

Step 8: Consents

You (or your agent) lodge Building Consent and, if required, Resource Consent. Standard designs are typically processed within 10 working days.
